Student Data Consent

Please read this Agreement carefully before submitting your application on the Orcred Platform.

By ticking the consent box when you submit your application, you confirm that you have read, understood and voluntarily agreed to the following:

I voluntarily provide my personal information, educational and professional information, project information, code repository links, project documentation, videos, responses, declarations and other materials submitted by me through the Orcred Platform (“Submitted Data”). I understand that I am providing such information voluntarily for the purpose of participating in Orcred's technical verification and assessment process.

I expressly consent to Orcred Technologies Private Limited (“Orcred”) collecting, accessing, reviewing, processing, storing and using my Submitted Data for purposes including:

I confirm that I have the right and authority to submit the project, repository, code, documentation, videos and other materials provided by me. I understand that Orcred and its authorised reviewers may access and review such materials solely for the purposes of the assessment, verification, quality assurance and related legitimate operations of the Platform. I shall not knowingly submit any material belonging to another person or organisation without having the necessary rights or permission to do so. The reviewer sees only my name and my project materials, not my college, marks or other background.

I consent to the recording of my live technical verification session. The recording contains my video, my voice, the reviewer's voice and anything I share on screen during the session; the reviewer keeps their camera off. I will also confirm my consent on the session page before each recording starts.

I consent to identity verification during the session: I will show a valid government-issued photo ID to the reviewer on camera. Orcred does not store a copy of my ID, but it will usually be visible in the recording.

Session recordings can be viewed only by authorised Orcred administrators. Reviewers cannot access them, and neither can I. Recordings are deleted 90 days after the session unless they are needed for a dispute, an investigation or a legal requirement.

I acknowledge that the assessment is conducted in accordance with Orcred's applicable assessment methodology and that the scores, feedback and assessment outcome are determined through Orcred's assessment process. I understand that Orcred may retain and use assessment records and results for legitimate platform, verification, quality assurance and business purposes, subject to applicable law.

I confirm that all information and materials submitted by me are accurate to the best of my knowledge and that I have not knowingly misrepresented my identity, qualifications, experience, project contribution or technical abilities. I understand that any material misrepresentation, fraudulent submission, impersonation or unauthorised use of another person's work may result in cancellation of my assessment, suspension or termination of my account and such other action as may be permissible under applicable law.

I understand that my personal data will be handled in accordance with Orcred's applicable Privacy Policy and data protection practices. I acknowledge that I have been provided an opportunity to review the applicable Privacy Policy before providing this consent.

I can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting my account from my profile or by emailing contact@orcred.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it, but Orcred may not be able to continue my assessment.

I can raise a grievance with Orcred's Grievance Officer, Ms. Pragathi S A, Founder and Director, at contact@orcred.com. I may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

I shall not disclose, publish or distribute confidential information relating to Orcred, its assessment methodology, internal processes, reviewer communications, assessment questions or other non-public information made available to me through the Platform.

I agree that ticking the consent box when I submit my application is my electronic acceptance of this Agreement and constitutes my valid and binding consent and acknowledgement of the terms stated herein. Orcred keeps a record of when I gave this consent, including the time, my IP address and the version of this Agreement. I understand that I may be required to provide certain information and consent in order to participate in the Orcred assessment process.
