Candidate Registration and Application: enabling Candidates to register on the Platform, submit applications and provide information and materials required for the technical verification process;

Project Submission and Review: enabling Candidates to submit project repositories, source code, project documentation, walkthroughs, declarations regarding the use of artificial intelligence tools and other information relevant to the assessment, and facilitating the review of such materials by the assigned Reviewer;

Reviewer Assignment: facilitating the assignment of an appropriately qualified technical Reviewer based on the nature of the Candidate's submission and Orcred's applicable assessment requirements;

Live Technical Verification: scheduling and facilitating live technical verification sessions during which the Candidate's understanding, technical knowledge and ability to explain and demonstrate the submitted work may be assessed;

Identity Verification: carrying out or facilitating identity verification and other verification procedures required to maintain the integrity and authenticity of the assessment process;

Assessment and Evaluation: facilitating the evaluation of the Candidate based on Orcred's prescribed assessment methodology, evaluation framework and applicable scoring criteria;

Orcred Score and Credential: issuing an Orcred Score and, where the Candidate satisfies the applicable requirements, a corresponding digital credential or other verification issued by Orcred;

Credential Verification: maintaining a publicly accessible or otherwise verifiable credential page or verification mechanism through which the authenticity of an Orcred Credential may be verified; and

Ancillary Services: providing such other features, tools, functionalities and services as may be introduced, modified or made available by Orcred from time to time in connection with the Platform and its verification services.

you are at least 18 years of age;

you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement; and

the information provided by you is true and accurate.

Certain Services may require you to register an account with Orcred.

Candidates may be required to provide information including, without limitation:

full name;

email address;

10-digit Indian mobile number;

college name;

graduation year;

LinkedIn profile URL;

project name;

technology stack;

GitHub repository URL;

Loom walkthrough video URL;

key technical build decisions;

information regarding issues encountered during development;

declaration of AI tools used in developing the project; and

availability windows for Session scheduling.

Orcred may request additional information where reasonably necessary to provide the Services, verify identity, prevent fraud, maintain platform integrity or comply with Applicable Law.

You shall ensure that all information submitted to Orcred is true, accurate, complete and not misleading.

You shall promptly update information where any material change occurs.

Orcred may suspend, reject or terminate an account where it reasonably believes that information supplied by the User is false, inaccurate, fraudulent or misleading.

Orcred does not use passwords. You sign in with a one-time link or code sent to your email address, so you are responsible for keeping that email account secure and for all activities carried out through your account.

You shall immediately notify Orcred if you become aware of any unauthorised access, compromise or misuse of your account.

You can download a copy of your data, change your email address and delete your account from your profile on the Platform. What deletion does is set out in the Privacy Policy.

the project submitted for verification is substantially the Candidate's own work;

the Candidate shall personally attend and participate in the assigned Session;

no other person shall impersonate or participate on the Candidate's behalf;

all material information concerning the project has been truthfully disclosed;

all AI tools used in developing the project have been disclosed in the manner prescribed by Orcred;

the Candidate shall not receive unauthorised assistance during the Session;

the Candidate shall not attempt to manipulate, circumvent or compromise the verification process; and

the Candidate shall comply with all reasonable instructions and technical requirements communicated by Orcred.

Candidates retain all ownership rights, title and interest in their projects, source code, repositories, technical documentation, designs and other materials submitted through the Platform ("Candidate Materials").

Orcred does not acquire ownership of Candidate Materials merely because such materials are submitted for verification.

By submitting Candidate Materials, you grant Orcred a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to access, reproduce, process, display and use such Candidate Materials solely to the extent reasonably necessary for:

conducting the technical verification;

enabling Reviewers to evaluate the project;

generating assessment results;

quality assurance and dispute resolution;

preventing fraud and maintaining the integrity of the verification process; and

operating and administering the Platform.

This licence shall not be interpreted as a transfer or assignment of ownership of the Candidate Materials.

The Session lasts 45 minutes from the booked time. The call opens 15 minutes before the booked time. After the 45 minutes there is a 15-minute wrap-up, after which the call ends automatically.

The Session may involve technical questions, discussion of implementation decisions, evaluation of technical understanding and other assessment activities determined by Orcred.

If the Candidate or the Reviewer has not joined within 15 minutes after the booked time, that person is treated as a no-show and the Session is cancelled automatically.

The Candidate may be required to establish identity by displaying a valid government-issued photo identification document on camera.

The Reviewer confirms on the Platform that the name on the document matches the Candidate’s name. Orcred does not store a copy of the document, but it will usually be visible in the Session recording, which is retained under clause 10.3.

Reviewer assignment shall remain entirely within Orcred's discretion.

Candidates shall not have the right to select, request or reject a particular Reviewer.

Reviewers keep their camera off and appear in the Session as “Reviewer”. Orcred shall not disclose the identity of the assigned Reviewer to the Candidate before, during or after the Session, except where disclosure is required by Applicable Law. The Candidate must keep their camera on throughout the Session.

Where a verification fee is payable, a Reviewer is assigned only after Orcred has confirmed the payment.

Each Candidate shall be evaluated based on the Candidate's demonstrated technical understanding and performance during the verification process.

The assessment shall be conducted in accordance with Orcred's assessment framework and standards.

Every Candidate is scored on all four assessment dimensions at the weights published on the Platform: Technical depth 35%, Communication 25%, Problem solving 25% and Reproducibility 15%. No dimension is left out. The pass mark is an Orcred Score of 60.

Orcred reviews scores before they are released and may ask the Reviewer to clarify or correct an error, but does not change a Reviewer’s scores.

The Credential and Orcred Score relate to the specific project submitted and assessed.

A Score or Credential shall not automatically transfer to another project, employment position, professional qualification or subsequent application.

Candidates who successfully pass the verification process may receive a permanent publicly verifiable Credential accessible through a URL hosted on the Orcred Platform.

The public verification page may display information including:

Candidate name;

project name;

Orcred Score;

assessment dimension breakdown;

the date the Credential was issued; and

a unique credential identifier.

By applying for verification, the Candidate acknowledges and consents to such information being made publicly accessible for the purpose of verifying the authenticity of the Credential.

All live Sessions may be recorded through the third-party video-conferencing infrastructure used by Orcred, including Daily.co.

Before recording starts, both the Candidate and the Reviewer confirm their consent on the Session page.

The recording is started by Orcred’s systems. Neither the Candidate nor the Reviewer can make their own recording through the Platform.

A recording contains the Candidate’s video, anything the Candidate shares on screen, and the voices of the Candidate and the Reviewer.

quality assurance;

assessment integrity;

reviewer quality monitoring;

fraud detection;

dispute resolution;

internal audit; and

compliance.

Session recordings can be viewed only by authorised Orcred administrators. Candidates and Reviewers, including the Reviewer who conducted the Session, are not entitled to access, download, copy or obtain Session recordings.

Session recordings are maintained for Orcred's internal quality assurance and dispute-resolution purposes.

A Candidate who does not pass may submit a new application without any waiting period, subject to payment of the applicable verification fee unless Orcred waives it. A Candidate may have only one application in progress at a time and may submit up to 3 applications in any period of 3 months. Orcred may pause new applications at any time.

Each resubmission shall be treated as an entirely independent verification process.

A resubmission shall ordinarily involve:

a new application;

a new Reviewer;

a fresh assessment;

new questions and evaluation; and

no reliance upon or reference to the previous Session or Score for purposes of the fresh assessment.

Payment of a resubmission fee does not guarantee a passing result.

Reviewers are engaged by Orcred as independent contractors and are not employees, agents, partners or representatives of Orcred.

Reviewers are required to conduct Sessions honestly, independently, professionally and in accordance with Orcred's applicable assessment framework.

Reviewers shall not:

coach or assist Candidates during assessments;

solicit Candidates for private coaching, employment or other paid arrangements;

accept unauthorised payments, gifts or benefits from Candidates;

independently record Sessions;

access, download or retain Candidate Materials beyond the period permitted under the applicable Reviewer Agreement or for any purpose other than conducting the assigned Session.

disclose Candidate information;

manipulate or fabricate Scores or assessment reports; or

attempt to circumvent Orcred's Platform or business relationships.

Orcred reserves the right to suspend or remove a Reviewer from the Platform immediately where necessary to protect the integrity, security or reputation of the Platform.

Reviewer-specific terms may additionally be governed by a separate Founding Reviewer Agreement, Reviewer Agreement, NDA or other contractual document executed between Orcred and the relevant Reviewer.

provide false, inaccurate or misleading information;

submit a project that they did not build or are not authorised to submit;

impersonate another person;

permit another person to attend a Session on their behalf;

obtain or provide unauthorised assistance during an assessment;

attempt to identify, contact or influence a Reviewer outside the authorised Platform process;

share Session questions or assessment materials with other Candidates;

record a Session without express authorisation;

reverse engineer, interfere with or compromise the Platform;

attempt to circumvent Orcred's verification or credentialing process;

upload malicious software or harmful code;

infringe third-party intellectual property or privacy rights;

use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes; or

engage in any activity that may compromise the integrity, security, reputation or operation of Orcred.

All intellectual property relating to the Platform, including the Orcred name and brand, logos, software, design, user interfaces, assessment methodology, scoring framework, assessment questions, databases, documentation, processes, graphics and other proprietary materials, belongs to Orcred or its licensors.

Except as expressly permitted under these Terms, no User shall copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, transmit, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, commercially exploit or otherwise use Orcred's intellectual property without prior written permission.

Nothing contained in these Terms grants a User any ownership interest in Orcred's intellectual property.

Razorpay when payments are enabled on the platform;

Orcred aims to maintain reasonable availability and operational reliability of the Platform, subject to maintenance, upgrades, technical limitations and circumstances beyond Orcred's reasonable control.

Scheduled maintenance may be communicated to Users in advance where reasonably practicable.

Orcred shall not be responsible for interruptions caused by third-party service providers, including video-conferencing platforms, payment gateways, internet service providers, hosting providers or communication networks, except to the extent required under Applicable Law.

Where a technical failure on Orcred’s side, or the Reviewer’s failure to attend, prevents completion of a Session, Orcred will rebook the Session at no cost or, where a fee was paid, refund it in full.

Orcred does not provide employment, recruitment, placement, career or professional advisory services.

An Orcred Score or Credential:

does not constitute a guarantee of employment;

does not guarantee a Candidate's suitability for any particular role;

does not guarantee salary, promotion, admission or professional success;

does not constitute a professional qualification or licence; and

reflects the Candidate's demonstrated performance in the specific verification process.

Employers, recruiters and other third parties may independently determine whether and how to use or rely upon an Orcred Credential.

Orcred shall not be responsible for employment decisions made by any third party based on an Orcred Credential.

To the maximum extent permitted under Applicable Law, Orcred's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a User's use of the Platform or Services shall not exceed the total fee actually paid by that User to Orcred for the specific verification Session giving rise to the claim, currently being ₹1,999 plus applicable GST.

To the maximum extent permitted by Applicable Law, Orcred shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, loss of profits, loss of employment opportunity, loss of business opportunity or reputational loss arising from the use of the Platform or any Credential.

Nothing in this clause shall limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under Applicable Law.

breach of these Terms;

fraudulent, misleading or unlawful information submitted by the User;

infringement of third-party rights;

misuse of Candidate Materials or Platform Content;

unauthorised access to the Platform;

violation of intellectual property, privacy or data protection rights; or

unlawful or fraudulent conduct by the User.

has violated these Terms;

has engaged in fraud or misrepresentation;

has compromised the integrity of an assessment;

has attempted to circumvent the verification process;

has infringed intellectual property or privacy rights;

has engaged in abusive or unlawful conduct; or

presents a material security, legal or reputational risk to Orcred.

Orcred may retain information for periods reasonably necessary for the purposes described in its Privacy Policy and in accordance with Applicable Law.

Unless otherwise required by law or justified by a continuing lawful purpose:

Session recordings are retained for 90 days;

information relating to failed applications may be retained for up to 2 years; and

information associated with passed Candidates and Credentials may be retained for an extended or indefinite period where reasonably necessary to maintain and verify the authenticity of issued Credentials.

Orcred may amend, modify or update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform, Services, technology, Applicable Law or business practices.

The updated Terms shall be published on the Platform with the revised "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of the Platform following publication of amended Terms shall constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms, to the extent permitted under Applicable Law.

Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, Orcred may provide additional notice where reasonably required.

By using the Platform, you consent to receiving electronic communications from Orcred relating to your account, application, payment, Session scheduling, verification process, Credential, Platform updates and other matters relating to the Services.

Communications may be sent to the email address or mobile number provided by you or through the Platform.

You are responsible for ensuring that your contact information remains current and accessible.

Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith discussions between the parties.

If the dispute remains unresolved, the parties shall endeavour to resolve the dispute through mediation.

If the dispute remains unresolved through mediation, it shall be finally resolved by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, as amended.

The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Bengaluru, Karnataka, and the arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English.

Nothing in this clause shall prevent Orcred from seeking urgent interim, injunctive or equitable relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Subject to the arbitration provisions contained herein, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over matters arising from or relating to these Terms.
